Voluntary Work
QSA works with over 80 volunteers every year, who come from all walks of life. We would not be able to provide the level of service that we do without the support we receive from our dedicated volunteers.
In return we offer a structured and supportive volunteer experience and we will reimburse any reasonable travel cost.
There are a number of different ways you can volunteer with QSA. If you live in east London and can travel to Stratford in Newham every week please see below to find out if you would be interested in working at our community furniture recycling project, HomeStore.
If you live outside east London, or don't have time to volunteer every week, you can now use your skills to help us in other ways.
Skills Match at QSA
We now have a database of activities, tasks, skills and resources we need help with across QSA. Some of these can be done from home, such as proofreading QSA publications or doing some web-based research. Others would involve working with our trainees, clients, volunteers or staff. This could be supporting people to write cvs, or doing some coaching or giving some professional advice.
These tasks are time-limited so would suit people who would like to volunteer for a one off project, or people who would like to dip in and out of volunteering when they have time available.
If you would like to register your own skill and availability, we would love to hear from you. You can email to sarahhindATqsa.org.uk, or telephone and ask to speak to Sarah Hind on 020 8983 9199.
