Moneytalk Islington: face-to-face workshops

We offer three different face-to-face workshops for households on a low income.

We can come and deliver these to you free of charge including all materials; all we ask of you is to provide families who live in Islington who are on a low income, and the space to meet for the sessions.

The three different workshops are:

- Parents and carers workshops: A seven week course of two hour sessions looking at attitudes, values, fears and communication around the difficult topic of money management as well as basic financial skills. In the final week children join their parents for a family learning session together.

- Family learning workshops: A three week course bringingMoneytalk Families parents and children together to learn about topics such as needs vs. wants and advertising. Engaging, hands-on activities such as piggy bank making and taste test challenges help the whole faily approach the topic of money in a relaxed, fun environment. We can target workshops for particular groups, such as fathers and children, and use interpreters as needed.

Moneytalk Dad- Dads' workshops: A three week course specifically working with low income fathers. We use creative means to get dads engaged in thinking about money in the family context. This can include photography workshops, where dads and their children come together to look at value through a lens, having fun and learning in the process.
