What it costs

QSA is committed to cost-effective, sustainable fundraising from a diverse range of different sources. A small central team of 1.6 FTE produces communications and publicity materials and raises all the funds needed to run our five programmes, around £1 million pounds every year. Our efficient spending and fundraising means that just seven pence in every pound goes on generating funds.

93 per cent of our spending goes direct to supporting people living in poverty.

We raise our money from a mixture of grants from trusts and foundations, corporate support, individual donations and legacies from our supporters, earned income and some statutory funding. This broad spread has allows our services to remain buoyant in difficult economic times, when faced by declining giving and public sector funding cuts.

We recognise the competing pressures that make if difficult for many who support us, investing financially in our work. QSA is extremely grateful to those who are committed to supporting us and continue to help people on low incomes in east London and strive for social justice.
